Our First Super Bowl
Within the hour, our friend Hannali came over to share the food and drinks with her. We all sat in the living room glazing at my little Andy. Andy’s laughter made the game more enjoyable, the way he was smiling and looking at the tv makes me want to believe he was having a good time. It was until my hubby came inside and shouted TOUCHDOWN that’s when Andy started to cry. Poor thing. I do the same thing whenever I’m watching a soccer game, we need to be careful how we react when he’s around. Overall the experience was enjoyable, I got to see what the hype was about and it was nice. Having the LA Rams in the Super Bowl was a plus; it made the experience more exciting. The halftime performance was on point, amazing and speechless. I never imagine that my city, Compton, would be representing worldwide. When I saw the landmarks of Compton on center stage I smiled, it was like a part of me was there in the game.
One year ago I never imagined I would become a football fan. I love sports, but football was the one sport that I wasn’t a fan of, mainly because I didn’t understand how the sport was played. However, it was until I met my husband that I was starting to show interest. I sometimes would catch him watching a game and I would sit next to him and ask questions. And over the course of this past season I gained a better understanding of the game. I gave it a chance because my hubby is a huge football fan and I wanted to share it with him. He tried to convince to become an Atlanta Falcons fan, but I told him that I’m an LA sports fan, LA Dodgers, LA Lakers and LA Galaxy and now I’m a LA Rams fan. However my favorite sport is still soccer, and no one can replace that.
