A Disappointing Loss
More than 48 hours have passed and I still don’t have the words to describe how I am feeling.
On Saturday night, the Los Angeles Dodgers played Game 4 of the series against the San Diego Padres at Petco Park. The Dodgers were 2-1 in the series and needed to win the game if they wanted the chance to go Game 5. The Dodgers were leading the Padres 3-0 until the bottom of the 7th inning that’s when the Padres scored 5 runs. Unfortunately the Dodgers lost 5-3 and thus their chance to advance to the NLCS came to an end.
I was in complete shock and unable to process what had happened. The Dodgers historic season 2022 was over. After the game that night I was strolling down on my twitter feed to see what the people were saying. The majority of the comments were negative, it’s understandable, the fans were furious with the results. I would be too but I was more unbroken than angry. I was channeling their angry as I kept reading the fans comments, it all made sense in regards of the Dodgers failure to succeed in the playoffs. I couldn’t sleep. What was the point of winning all those 111 games if they couldn’t win the games that counted? It’s a disappointing loss.
That’s all I have to say.
The season is over. No more baseball. The only thing I could do now is move on.
Always LA.
